Abit IT7 Review
DDR Zone are looking at the rather nice Abit IT7. This legacy free board packs a heap of features in to a very nice package.

The move to discontinue legacy ports has been a pretty big step forward for both Abit and the computer industry. However is seems to be paying off, with the mass adoption of this board in both the 'hardcore' and the 'home user' and ‘Video editing’ sectors. The Intel flavor of the xT7 series is the IT7, it is based around the i845e chipset supplied by Intel. It is a DDR based board accepting up to 2gb in 3 sticks. It comes impressively packaged and has a whole suite of extra features.

Creative 3D Blaster 5 RX9700
TBREAK have just finished reviewing Creative's 3D Blaster 5 RX9700. The Radeon 9700 takes some very impressive benchmark wins but not always by as much as you might imagine it would, particularly in Commanche4 where the Ti4600 takes the plaudits.

Creative has a very interesting history with graphics cards. It¡¦s the only company we know of that has produced graphics cards based on 3DFX, S3, nVidia and ATI technologies. What¡¦s even more interesting is that earlier this year, Creative acquired 3D Labs meaning we shall be looking at Creative's "in-house" graphics cards soon. Now that does raise an interesting point- why would Creative chose to release a Radeon 9700 Pro based card when they're expecting their own 3D Labs solution pretty soon. We don¡¦t have an answer for that yet, however, we do have Creative's Radeon 9700 Pro based card- the 3D Labs Blaster 5 RX9700 in out hands today.

Black Cold Cathode Light & Vantec Rounded IDE Cables Review
3dXtreme announce their Black Cold Cathode Light & UV Sensitive Vantec Rounded IDE Cables Review.

Today 3dXtreme will be looking at Jab-Tech's cold cathode black light and Vantec's UV sensitive Rounded cables incorporating both products into a single review. While the Vantec rounded cables could be a review by themselves, half the reason I received them was for their UV sensitivity and to show off the reason for moving to a black light Cold Cathode.

MSI 845Ultra-ARU Review
It's taken two months of blood, sweat, tears and swearing but after sending two of his three evaluation boards to that great silicon graveyard in the sky Dwayne over at PCExtreme has posted his look at MSI's 845 Ultra-ARU. I think he invented a new award category for it too!

The MSI 845Ultra-ARU has been on the market for about 9 months now so it isn't a new product, but it is an outstanding overclocking platform. I originally started this review in June of this year, and it started out looking very good for this motherboard. The performance and overclocking options are outstanding, and the extras this board packs make it stand out among some of the best motherboards on the market. But since I started the review, I have run into some major problems, and I feel it is my duty to report them. Whether they are design flaws or not remains uncertain.

Spire Coolers review
The guys over at pcreviewspot.com have lauched their back-2-back spire cooler
review. They review two of spire's top coolers: the SkiveStream and the
WhisperRock II.

Check out those micro fins! When micro fins are used, they greatly increase the surface area and cooling capacity of the heatsink. The shear thinness of the fins allows the heat to be
removed very quickly using very little air flow....it has a copper core for better heat dissipation, and to remove heat away from the core as fast as possible as you will see in our results.
