SF-531P 6-in-1 Laser MFP
Envy news have taken the wraps off their review of Samsung's SF-531P. The technology has come a long way but the lack of a colour scanning function seems a strange decision.

These multiple function devices took center stage a few years ago for the SOHO or small-office home-office marketplace. As with any device, improvements are always found, and such was born the new 6-in-1 MFP. This included the ability to make photocopies of documents – a simple addition since the MFP can already fax and scan and print; photocopying is just a logical evolution. And heck, it can fax, so let’s include a fully-functioning telephone with speed-dials.

VIA Eden M-Series (for Home Theater)
VIA's EPIA-M series Eden board is a more comprehensively features version of their original EPIA platform. This is one area where less is certainly more! Digit-life are on the case.

Although we can't avoid comparing the old and new versions of the platform, remember that they have a bit different fields of application, that is why the prices should be accounted for in the last turn. While the first line is simply EPIA (Eden Thin Client Platform) and it's meant for simple applications, the EPIA-M series is for tougher computational tasks and, in the first turn, for video. What allows such systems to play video considering that the EPIA-5000 did it awfully?

Easily and Safely Installing a Motherboard
Remember how it felt to be a newb? ExtremeTech do and they've put together an informative motherboard installation article just for the less experienced aspiring PC builder.

Motherboards used to be a pain in the derriere to install. A typical motherboard had zillions of jumper settings for different CPU clocks, frontside bus speeds, floating point coprocessors and memory module sizes. That time passed long ago, as chronology of technology is measured. Today's motherboards are more complex than ever, in terms of features sets, but are easier to install and simpler to set up than ever before.

Join 3dGameMan as he puts the squeeze on Abit's NF7-S Nforce2 motherboard. The addition of S-ATA will surely go down well despite its limited usefulness at the moment.

"The Abit NF7-S Motherboard is based on nForce2 chipset which delivers bandwidth speeds up to and beyond 333MHz. This board sports onboard 5.1 Channel Audio, USB2, LAN and RAID Serial ATA. It's stable, performs well and is great at overclocking. Watch the Video to find out more..." ~3dGameMan.com

Thermaltake 80mm Copper Fan Grill & Copper RAMsink Review
OCIA has posted their review on the Thermaltake 80mm Copper Fan Grills & Copper RAMsink.

The grills come in two styles; a honeycomb style and a Mountain/Volcano sun scene. I liked the Mountain scene so I put it on my Thermaltake Volcano 9 Heat Sink. It looked good and was easily done by just changing out 4 screws. The copper grill really works well with the dark orange coloration on the Thermaltake Smart Fan.
