AMD Athlon™ XP2700+ Processor
They may be rarer than sheep eggs at the moment but AMDWorld have the lowdown on the AthlonXP 2700+.

Obviously with the next generation of AMD processors using a 25% increase on the system bus which means a new era of mainboards are now coming through and with the KT333 & KT400 chipset supporting motherboards once again are going to be the most widely available board. However Nvidia Nforce 2 mainboards which are expected to hit the retail shelves prior to the end of 2002 have shown to be the optimum choice from the early samples that have been seen.

Albatron GeForce4 Ti4200 Video Card Review
We're not the only ones to have taken a look at the Albatron Ti4200P Turbo this week, AMDPower got to check one out too and seem pretty impressed despite having a touch less luck with the overclocking.

First glance at the front of the box quickly shows you that the card inside is sporting 128MB of DDR RAM, DVI, and TV Out. The back gives a quick overview of the cards specifications, points out that it comes with WinDVD and two full retail games, and that is has a 3-year warranty. Not as bold as others who offer life time warranties but to be honest who keep the same vid card for three years?

Ahanix dboX Case Review
Overclockers Club has completed a review on the Ahanix dboX case. There sure seem to be a lot of case reviews floating around lately.

My first attempt at a case mod case was a 120mm hole I cut for a front intake and a Digital Doc 5 to display my temps. It wasn’t much, and it wasn’t pretty, in fact it still isn’t. I wasn’t concerned really with the way the case looked, I just wanted more intake than the standard 80mm fan game me, and a way to get temperatures without running a program inside of the operating system. I achieved my goals, but later on I started to wish the case was a bit prettier.

Vantec Thermoflow Case Fans
Jim over at OverclockedCafe has finished up his look at the Thermoflow Case Fans from Vantec. They come in 60mm, 80mm, 92mm, and 120mm varieties, offer temperature control to adjust fan speeds only running at a higher RPM when more airflow is needed.

I like a lot of the features offered in this family of products from Vantec, and if you are building a system that requires cooling capacity on demand, they are a pretty good choice for exhaust fans. The workmanship and packaging are the usual exceptional Vantec quality, coming with all the little bits and pieces I have come to expect from a company of their stature.

Casewraps Project and Review
OverclockersClubCanada has finished a review on a Casewraps Project and Review. That's how they worded it anyway!

What the heck's a Casewrap? Some type of clear wrapping tool to protect your computer? Thankfully, the answer is no. Actually, casewraps are a very cool alternative to airbrushing. Specifically, they are adhesive backed vinyl sheets featuring a digitally printed image that you can apply on to your case. I'm not talking bits and pieces of stickers where you can just slap on here and there. I'm talking huge, printed sheets that can stick to your side panels, top and possibly the front too, where they can dramatically alter the visual appearance of your case, just like what airbrushing can do.

Xoxide X40 Blackbox Case
ASE Labs are reviewing the Xoxide X40 Blackbox case. Watch out for some classic lines like "As you can see, the case is extremely well finished. I really don't know who to thank for that, but who cares. The front has a design on it that is a plastic piece. It will make you dizzy, especially if your high (I'm assuming here)."

What do you do when you need a fancy looking case but really can't do anything yourself? Get a pre-modded Xoxide one! The X40 Blackbox is a great deal for $80, you really can't go wrong.

Albatron Medusa Ti4200P Turbo In-House Review
Your regular GeForce4 Ti4200 was already tempting enough to rope in the more penny wise consomer but Albatron have taken it to a whole new level!

The Ti4200 has been an incredible success story for NVIDIA and even hardened enthusiasts soon realised that they could save themselves some serious cash by opting for a 4200 over a 4600 and making use of its strong tendency for overclocking to narrow the performance gap. The card I'm looking at today has taken the GeForce4 Ti4200 and done something quite extraordinary with it. To begin with they've built the card on the larger and theoretically much more stable 8 layer PCB used previously for the Ti4600 cards only. Next they've teamed the GPU up with a full 128MB of 3.3ns BGA memory and finally they've added a very efficient all-copper heat sink and aluminium RAM sinks front and rear to keep things cool.

Chaintech launches new line of motherboard: Zenith Launch Event In-House Article
We sent staff member Shawn Sparks over to Amsterdam for the launch of Chaintech's Zenith 7NJS nForce2 motherboard. Armed with nothing more than a camera, a plane ticket and a change of clothes he jetted in and managed to turn a one day event in to a short break. Interpol are trying to piece together details of his known movements!

Once seated and comfortable in the meeting room the lights dimmed and the room filled with smoke as a group of four go-go dancers took center stage. Nice attention getter. Now that we were all very attentive Geert van Dijk, CEO for Chaintech Europe took the microphone and introduced the Chaintech, nVidia and Promise representatives in attendance. AMD was an official sponsor of the event as well; however, there was no one in attendance to represent them.
