CoolMax Neon Wire EL ATA133 IDE Round Cable
PCREVIEWSPOT have a pretty unique item on the bench. I'd be happier seeing some benchmarks to make sure the EL cable wasn't intoducing errors to the IDE signal before I buy but they're certainly original!

Now, you are probably still wondering, how the heck does it light up? Well, if you look at the picture above closely, you will see that there is one of those EL light wires entwined around the cable, and this is what does the lighting! It gives a very nice effect, which you will be able to see below with the installed pictures.

AMD releases Hammer Socket 754 details

ONLY AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER with time on his or her hands might care to wander through this PDF that AMD has released on its site.
But proceed to page 10 of the 41 page document and suddenly there's another link to a web site with 19 more documents about designing the Socket 754

Kool Cases Panther Full Tower Case Review
MODTHEBOX are checking out a well put together full tower case from Kool Cases. Can't say I'm smitten with the design but that's just me!

The Panther is one of many consumer based full tower cases offered by Kool Cases and comes complete with all the functionality found in more expensive models. The specifications of the Panther are simular to that of your classic full tower case and is generally suited for systems which require more expansion room.

PC Toys 520 watt Power Maxx Power Supply Review
OCIA checks out the black anodized PC Toys 520 watt Power Maxx Power Supply in their latest review. This PSU has plenty of juice to keep your system running without a hitch.

Another feature I found useful was the fan adjustment. There are two manual settings that adjust the RPMs of the three power supply fans. The manual settings definitely had an effect on the power supply. While there was not a huge increase in noise on the manual settings, there was an increase in airflow that was noticeable as my hand was placed over the exhaust fan. I chose to keep my fan on the automatic settings. I think it is more efficient to let the power supply adjust the fan rpms in relation to temperature.

Innovatek Reservoir Review
Amdmb.com has just published their review of the Innovatek Reservoir. There were a few mixed feelings about the results but you can see what got us there at the link below.

Near the top of the Reservoir is an 8mm Stainless steel compression fitting that attaches to the return line. [Due to the nature of the 8mm fittings, thin walled 8mm tubing is required although I’m sure a modification could be made for larger hoses] By the base of the tank in the side wall is a larger opening with two O rings inside. These O rings seal water tight to intake shaft on either the Ehiem 1046 or 1048 pumps. Note: I found that smearing a drop of dish soap on the impeller housing made it much easier to slide the reservoir in place, just make sure to rinse it off afterwards. The reservoir is filled at the top and is sealed watertight by a large plastic cap which screws tightly against an O ring.

Koutech 6-Port Firewire & USB 2.0 PCI Card Review
Bryan at OCC has completed a review on a 6-port Firewire & USB 2.0 PCI card. Here is a quote from his review:

Mice, Keyboards, Printers, Cameras, Network Cards, CD and DVD, even Hard Drives, it seams like anything and everything now days has either a USB or Firewire/1394 connection. With the transfer rates for FireWire/1394 (400Mbps) and USB 2.0 (480Mbps) as well as the ability to add 127 USB or 63 FireWire devices, who can blame the industry for moving to such technology? Whether you are like me and using an older motherboard that doesn't have USB 2.0 or Firewire/1394 support, or if you are just looking to add a few extra ports to your PC, the Koutech 7002 6-Port controller is a nice solution.

Thermaltake GF4 CoolMOD Highest Performance Cooler Review
Extreme Overclocking has just posted a review on the Thermaltake GF4 CoolMOD Highest Performance Cooler. As the name implies, this product is actually just a mod of their regular GF4 cooler, this cooler has a built-in blue-LED!

Today we are going to look at the latest graphics cooler from Thermaltake. This cooler is very similar to the GeForce 4 Highest Performance Cooler that we reviewed before. The only real difference is that this cooler has a blue LED that has been mounted on to the clear plastic that covers part of the heat sink.
