Media
Center:::
Media
Center looks to be a shell around the desktop or a desktop
replacement and it gathers all the Windows components together.
It shows you online content, TV, Radio, your pictures, your
music and your videos using common Windows components such
as Media player etc.

Here
are the menu items shown.
Since I didn't have an internet connection in this virtual
machine.

Conclusion:::
Windows
Media Center Edition 2005 gathers all the Windows multimedia
functionality in one center.
It doesn't really add anything new, just extends Windows
with a set of HTML applications to use Windows multimedia
programs.
You could wonder if you can turn your Windows into this
MCE edition, I think someone bright out there could do it.
I don't think it would be legal, as it's listed as a new
Windows version.
Basically each PC that has a tuner and/or radio card built-in
is in fact a Media Center itself.
This is useful for the all-in-one home entertainment systems
that are popping up in stores everywhere. I wonder though
how those machines hold up on the internet, using only Windows'
firewall option to protect them.
All
in all it's targeted to be a complete package for entertainment
systems and does just that. It gives you a user friendly
interface to perform each task easy and with much hassle.
