Installation
The physical installation procedure
is the same as for just about any other motherboard
you might buy, if you can fit others you can fit this.
One of the nicer reminders I got while putting things
together was how much less fragile an Intel CPU is
and how its small size makes AMD's somewhat larger
package look almost clumsy.
On the software side I think Intel has
the edge here too with a very slick one shot chipset
driver install, in this case V5.00.1012.

With the various drivers installed and
working as advertised it was time for a quick poke
around Device Manager just to confirm that my 3.06GHz
was in fact being recognised as two discrete CPUs.
As you can see it was!

And while I was there I decided to confirm
that the two RAID options were being correctly reported.

I also installed the USDM diagnostic
app to have a look at what was going on. I'm used
to fairly high temperatures but 65 degrees idle seems
a little toasty, the system temps at 31C are a good
5 degrees higher than I was getting with the 8RGA+
nForce2 board in this same case so maybe the 4PDA2+
does read a little on the high side.

The included Magic BIOS app makes keeping
your system up to date a breeze. The app firstly verifies
if you're using the latest BIOS version and if you're
not it gives you the option do download it and automatically
flashes it for you.
