A Closer Look

This section of the review is kind of pointless in a way as I'm told by NVIDIA that the final retail card will be significantly shorter than this one, which is damned good news as this thing's an absolute monster. Take a look at the pictures anyway, it'll give you an idea how your shiny new 5900 Ultra started its life.

It's certain that we're still looking at a dual slot card which as I keep saying isn't likely to be a big issue for most users who tend to avoid using PCI slot one anyway due to it usually sharing an IRQ with the AGP slot. Actually that's less of a big issue these days but old habbits die hard. There may be no real need to now but I still tend to keep PCI slot 1 free myself.
