A Closer Look:::...

Although there seems to be a blanked cutout at the bottom of case to accommodate the front-mounted connectors, COMPUCASE have opted to use one of the two available external 3.5" bays instead. I don't see this a bad thing necessarily as it simply means less bending to reach them and in theory less dust buildup too. Where it might be a negative is for people who want to fit, for example, a floppy drive and a 3.5" memory card reader, fan controller or some other 3.5" peripheral.

Yet again we see the Firewire cutout unused, what's wrong with Firewire anyway? AOne seem to sell what they call "Firewire cables for 6K29 and 6K31" so I don't know if this is an add-in kit including a Firewire port to add Firewire functionality to these cases or if it's literally just a cable.

By accident or by design, the power LED is embedded in the power button which makes it look uncannily like a hi-fi volume knob or a small jog/shuttle dial. Below this are the reset button and HDD activity light, all placed centrally keeping the case's symmetrical look intact.

A gaping air vent in the underside should allow huge gulps of air in, albeit unfiltered air. You can hopefully see the paint finish in this photo which is a semi-matt splatter finish as COMPUCASE seem to use a lot. I doubt it's anywhere near as durable as it looks, as was demonstrated on the 6C29BUF which had a similar, if not identical paint finish, and which turned out to be quite brittle when abused.

For the sake of those of us with carpeted, fluff-ridden floors I'd ask case manufacturers to consider slightly thicker feet in order to lift the air intake a little, besides which, shouldn't the feet be gold coloured?
