The BIOS I
can't remember ever looking at an Epox BIOS and being anything less than impressed
and this time was no different. Perhaps the biggest gripe about this board's predecessor
was the lack of VDD options, not so this time. Let's have a quick run through.
I'm
told that voltage monitoring is much more accurate in this motherboard, which
if true leaves me a little concerned about my 12v rail. As always it's nice to
be able to set a shutdown temperature when running an Athlon of just about any
description.
CPU
voltage reaches a perfectly acceptable 2.20v
AGP
voltage ranges from 1.5 to 1.8v in 0.1v increments.
Memory
can be wound up to a generally unhealthy 2.90v.
And
then, as we mentiuoned, there's the VDD voltage selectable to 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0v.
I
shouldn't imagine you'll be left wanting for multipliers any time soon. How does
an upper limit of 24x sound?
And
the FSB makes it to high though not astronomical 25.MHz. I'll save you the trouble
of working it out, the 24x multiplier coupled with the 250MHz FSB is 6GHz. You
wish!
I'm
sure we all know by now that FSB synchronous is the way to go when it comes to
nForce memory frequency but should you desire there's a 200% upper limit available.
