Part One: Introduction

Abit have constantly impressed us with some very innovative products, their mainboards always show up a few surprises as Abit constantly push the limits of current technology, they are still a true force in the industry. Yet many seem to forget their nVidia based cards are equally high on value and performance as we saw with their Ti 200 and Ti 4400 versions. While the card under the spotlight today looks almost identical to the Ti 4400 it may prove to be a different beast altogether as we invistigate the high flying Ti 4600, a card that until very recently has held the top spot for performance. With the introduction of ATi's R9700 VPU the Geforce has been thrust into second place, a strange place for nVidia to reside certainly. However the good news for potential Ti 4600 buyers is the increased competition is already pushing the price of these excellent cards to an all time low. Near top performance needn't mean a second mortgage and will Abit be at the top of your Ti 4600 list? We shall see...

Part Two: The Geforce 4 Ti 4600

As is usual in these reviews, we are concentrating on the individual features and performance of the Abit card, this is not another technology (p)review. Our views and analysis of the Geforce 4 range can be found within our reference board review, be sure to read that one thoroughly if you need more information on the specific features offered by a GF4 Ti4600. Here are the specs before we launch into the more Abit specific remainder of the review.
