Part Three: Abit's Geforce 4 Ti 4600

We have previously seen the excellent quality offered by Abit's Siluro brand, we have every reason to believe this card will be no different.

The image above shows the card in all it's glory, it's almost identical to the Ti4400 we reviewed from Abit.

The main cooling is provided by Abit's stylishly designed HSF unit. While the fan isn't very large or noisy, it certainly looks better than the reference style cooler. The ram is also cooled on the front and the back of the card by the familiar silver heatsinks. It is still debatable whether such cooling is really required on the new BGA ram, it certainly produces little heat, it may however convince many people to buy such a card and in truth therefore, it's value is more marketing than actual performance.

The back of the card contains the equally familiar inputs. Abit include TV-OUT which is still a great extra, while we also retain the Multi-Monitor inputs thus ensuring nView is still standard across the Geforce 4 range.

The overall build quality was typical of Abit i.e.. Superb. Every component was finished with real care and style. This is one card that looks as good as it performs.

Part Four: The Retail Bundle.

Abit's Ti4400 proved how generous their graphics card bundles are, the same value was displayed here. Let's take a peek...

Abit Siluro Geforce 4 Ti 4400 Retail Pack: -

1 x Siluro 3D graphics accelerator
1 x User Manual
1 x Software CDROM inc. Siluro DVD, Drivers etc
1 x S-Video - Composite Adapter
1 x S-Video Extender Cable
1 x RCA Cable
1 x DV-I to VGA Adapter

The box has been restyled slightly to incorporate the Ti4200 option for 64MB or memory. The sticker on the left hand side now differentiates between the Ti variants.
