Part Three: A Closer Look At The Card...

We saw some very attractive cards when we looked at the Elsa Ti's, it seems nV cards become more elaborate everyday. Let's see what design choices Abit have chosen to implement with it's Ti200.

Here we can see the card. Abit have adopted the MSI style heatsink and fan for the GPU. Placed upon the top ramsink is a small metal bar. It's embossed with the Siluro branding, an irrelevant feature in truth, but it's always nice to observe the effort that goes into producing a quality package from Abit.

Here we can see the black plate of the Abit card. They were kind enough to send the 'deluxe card' in the form of the DVI & TV-Out model. The DVI is an optional feature and the price does drop without it's inclusion. It always nice to have the option though. Equally pleasing is having the ability to hook your card up to a TV for games or DVD playback.

The HSF unit was nicely finished as we'd expect. No sign of poor workmanship here and pleasingly enough for the more extreme overclocker are the pins used to hold the GPU cooler nicely in place. This renders the task of removing the HSF an effortless one and opens up the possibilities of adding a water based cooling solution or suchlike for high core frequencies. The silver ramsinks were applied nicely with all parts touching the ram they intend to cool.
