Part Three: Media XP: A Digital Dream?

Only one thing can dampen Abit's innovative approach; the orientation of computer use. Simply, how will the end user reach all those ports on the rear of the motherboard, we certainly don't want to constantly reach behind a desk do we? The answer? Abit's Media XP connection. This little device makes connectivity a breeze as it places control over the ports straight back to you the user. Let's take a look at this great MAX add-on

The second image is really what the Media XP add-on is all about; pure digital connectivity, three flash memory readers, two USB 2.0 and Firewire connections along side a line in and headphone socket makes for a great MAX supporting product. You even receive a remote! It is worth noting however that the Media XP is designed solely for the MAX range of motherboards, sadly other soundcards are not yet supported.

The box is positively bursting with value. Along side full versions of WinRIP and WinDVD we have the remote and all the leads you wish for. You even get some free batteries!

As you might have guessed the Media XP installed perfectly under Windows XP and operation was quick and stable. It's a great little unit without question that is sure to be appreciated by digital enthusiasts the world over. If you need some images of the unit, a few are included below.
