Part Five:SySMark 2001
SySMark 2001 (fully patched to XP patch 03) would test the board to the limit. The signature Abit stability and speed would be on show here...

...and stability and speed is what we received! While the Pentium based systems still rule this taxing benchmark, clearly we can still expect some highly respectable numbers from AMD based systems. The AT7, like the KX7333, is very quick indeed, that much is self evident.
Part Six: Gaming Benchmarks: Quake 3 Arena.
Quake 3 is a familiar inclusion in our benchmarks and while it's certainly showing it's age it still offers a great indication of bandwidth and graphical subsystem performance levels. We tested in two resolutions; firstly 640 x 480 (low details) to ensure the board was utilizing every CPU cycle available and secondly, 1024 x 768 (high details) which simulates actual gaming performance.

1024x768 Highest Quality | 208.2 |
Abit boards have always had a tremendously good reputation with gamers and it's with little surprise we see the AT7 only further this quality. The CPU, motherboard and graphics card all combine to form a great gaming setup. This board actually outpaced the KX7333R in this benchmark by two frames per second, a great result considering the extra features it includes.
