A Coser Look - Aesthetics :
The weather was good for a change and I figured
only natural light could do justice to a case that looked this
good. I'm not known for having been wowed by the aluminium case
craze in the past but there's something quite elegant about
the ATC-210's design that perhaps the pictures don't do justice
to.

It's strange to consider that the whole coloured
acrylic door craze kind of came and went in the Hi-fi cabinet
business way back in the 80s and even now I tend to think that
Hi-fi cabinets that have this kind of door look dated and a
little naff yet for some reason it really works well with this
case.

The door remains closed thanks to a couple of
magnetic catches that do a nice job of barely holding it shut
without having to tug too hard to swing it open. Be careful
when you carry the case though, the magnets aren't powerful
enough to stop the door swinging open under its own weight if
you jar it or tilt it forward.

The main reason I like the frosted look is the
level of "stealth" it provides if you happen to be
using regular beige drives. Removing the door (should you want
to) is a fairly simple task involving driving out eight screws
and removing the two hinged and two finishing brackets but Cooler
Master have used hex screws so you'll need to fish out a hex
bit or an allen key for the job. Personally I like it just fine
in place.

Just about all the external angles are either
rounded or beveled adding to the quality look and feel and its
symmetrical design and clean layout would make it an ideal case
to use in the main living room along with your other expensive
gadgetry perhaps as a home for a family PC or an MP3 server/entertainment
center. No gripes from me as far as looks go.
