Unlike the Sapphire branded card I looked
at last, Crucial's card is decked out in a traditional red
colour. The standard copper cooling arrangement is fitted
with only the sticker on top changed to identify the product
as a Crucial card.

Connector-wise
all the usual suspects are present. Video out is provided
by an S-video connector plus there's a DVI and an analogue
DB-15 connector also.

As
we saw on the Sapphire version, the X800 Pro comes equipped
with 256MB of Samsung K4J55323QF GDDR 3 rated to 500MHz
at 2ns. This same memory is also available in a xx-GC16
(1.6ns) version rated to 600Mhz which is used on the X800XT
and a xx-GC14 (1.4ns) variety rated to a very tasty sounding
700MHz. I'm sure Crucial would love to be able to score
extra points and get some of their own Micron branded memory
onboard but that's not going to happen. Still, it must stick
in the gullet a little to see those Samsung chips staring
at them as they pack the cards into their boxes.
