Part Seven: Final Thoughts
This drive has 'burned' quite a little
place in my heart since I started testing it. I felt it would
be like any other drive but I was somewhat wrong. First of all
it shows great value. This is marketed as a budget solution
yet with it's turn of speed and range of features you could
be forgiven for thinking it was a much more expensive version.
It supports RAW writing and reading, it's quick, relatively
cheap and has a great retail package. What more could you want
out of a CD-writer? The only downside I feel is some people's
need for the fastest product available may not be satisfied
here. If you are willing to sacrifice 'bleeding edge' hardware
in favor of a product that offers great value for money then
this is the drive for you.
This is a drive that comes with a huge
recommenced stamp from me, great value, great performance and,
for once, a nice bundle.
Pros: -
1. Very good price tag.
2. 'Burnproof' Exaclink features.
3. Very fast burning speeds.
4. Wide range of compatible media available.
Cons: -
1. Not the fastest solution available
2. Lack of a 'proven brand' name
3. Some 16x media may still be expensive.
