Performance:::…

SiSoftware Sandra

The computer came with Service Pack 1a for Windows XP installed, so I'll test with that first.

Now with Service Pack 2 installed.

It seems the difference of both service pack isn't much. Both seems to have their strengths and weaknesses.
Here's a quick comparison.

Hot CPU Tester Pro 4:::...

Time to test the CPU power!
This table shows the difference between service packs.

PCMark04:::...

For this test you have to have WMP 9 encoder installed, something I did not have, the results are still nice to see though.
These tests were taken with SP2 installed.

D3DMark 1.0.5.0 Public Beta 4

3DMark03:::...

This is Futuremark's DirectX 9.0b complaint benchmark.
I ran this benchmark with standard out of the box settings, no AA or post-processing turned o
n.

3DMark05:::...

Futuremark's new pride and joy 3DMark 05.
Let's see how it does with this benchmark.

This is as expected, low end systems score in this range of 3DMarks and the X300 is certainly marketed as low-end video card.
These tests were taken with SP2 installed
