BIOS

To get that extra performance, you need to tweak your BIOS to enable those added features! DFI's motherboard has a few goodies to help you out! (All Images are clickable for larger versions)

The Standard CMOS section is where you check your Hard Disks - what size they are etc.)
Advanced BIOS Features section enables HyperThreading technology (if your processor supports it) and boot options. Also an option to enable a Full Screen Logo instead of the usual Memory/Hard Disk tests. This logo is that which is on the box.

The advanced Chipset is the Memory tweaks, allowing you to chose what CAS Latency your memory uses including what speed the memory should be.

The Integrated Peripherals takes you to the SATA controller and other onboard peripherals. You can chose whether to disable certain aspects or how your RAID controller works

The PC Health section shows you how your system is doing in terms of temperature and voltages. This is the same information that is given to you in Windows via WinBond

Genie BIOS is the overclocking section. What is missing is the DDR Lock so you can overclock the CPU only. You can lower the memory options under advanced chipset section however this is only changing the ratio between the mem and cpu. It would bet better if you could force the memory to a certain spec. Also Super PATCH, even though gives better system performance, forces the SATA controller active!

Finally the other interesting section is the CMOS Reloaded! It allows you to save settings for any particular setup. For example you could have a BIOS saving with all integrated peripherals disabled for Benchmark freaks, while having them all turned on for games!

Enough with the setup! Lets see how it performs!
