The Duron 1.3 falls just short of the Pentium
4 1.7 (i845 SDR) on integer performance but well and truly
stomp on it with its Whetstone floating point prowess. Even
with its SSE-2 optimisations the P4 doesn't pull away by a
huge margin. The Duron comes within a respectable distance
of the Athlon 1.4 scores which is quite an achievement.

A very strong set of figures from a processor
created to cater to the budget/mainstream market. Again we
see scores not too far off those of the Athlon 1.4 and better
than the P4 1.7 for integer calculations. The Intel edges
the FPU win but not by a huge amount.
POV-Ray Chess2 Render :
For this particular test, POV-Ray is used to
render the Chess2 scene at 800x600 - AA 0.3. The times quoted
are total times taken to render the scene and therefor lower
is better.POV-Ray is almost entirely CPU driven and so forms
a pretty accurate reflection of general performance levels.

I don't think there's anything I can say that
isn't perfectly well explained in the graph itself.
