In The Box:

The box design looks quite stark but this also serves to give a very professional look. It is a router after all, not a joystick.

The Box

Inside it all looks very neat and well protected. Neat, well thought out packaging is more about the impression it gives than the purpose it serves, but even so it's nice to know these kits aren't just thrown together then left to slide around during shipping to the store or to your home or business.

The Box

All the basics are included in the box including a software installation CD, RJ-11 (phone) cable, CAT5 (LAN) cable, a quick installation guide and a very detailed user guide.

In The Box

Decked out in silver with the smoked front LED panel, the router is very stylish and also quite compact at just 160mm by 120mm.

Behind the front panel are LEDs to signify power on (PWR), ADSL connection (LINK) and to signal which of the ethernet ports are in user ( 1 to 4). In addition to there's also a USB LAN port available.

One thing I like, and which was missing from my Belkin router, is a power switch. It's not unheard of for routers to need a hard reset and this is easier with a power switch than it is to keep unplugging the power cable.

Behind a small hole is a reset switch which returns the router to its factory settings. If you do use this, keep it depressed for a good ten seconds or so.
