for review.

Performance Benchmarks :
AMD Athlon XP2000+ CPU
Epox 8KHA+ Motherboards
256MB Kingmax PC2100 DDR SDRAM
Creative Labs Audigy Sound
40GB ATA-100 5400rpm HDD
Detonator 22.50 drivers
Mipmap detail level set for best performance

Vulpine GLmark :
Vulpine is very much the aerobic workout of OpenGL
benchmarks. Huge maps, high polygons and visual splendor mean
this is one to bring even the most powerful of card to their
knees. First up a screenshot of the settings used, and as in
the past I stuck with the standard OpenGL 1.2 option to allow
a level playing field for future tests perhaps not run on GeForce
3 hardware.

If you're wondering how the 921 got on with this
benchmark, here's a quick side-by-side.

The difference looks significant, but that 14fps
or so represents less than a 20% shortfall from the 921, or
in other words much less than the price disparity...go figure!
FreshDiagnose :
FreshDiagnose is a great new freeware bwnchmarking
and disgnostics suite. It looks and fels very much like SiSoft's
Sandra and offers very similar features. One thing that was
added to version 3.0 was a fairly rudimentary graphics benchmark
that concentrates rather conveniently on 2D performance.
