Performance Benchmarks :
DroneZ Mark :
In the words of the authors, DroneZ mixes an extremely
hi-tech 3D engine (nGenius 2) with classic arcade gameplay in
a unique setting with intriguing and rewarding visuals, and
I'm certainly not going to argue. Gameplay may be old-school,
but Paris-based game developer Zetha have used every visual
trick in the OpenGL handbook to create a stunning world that
puts great demands on your video subsytem.

FSAA Performance :
Finally let's see how much of a hit the 721 takes
with anti-aliasing enabled. For this I ran the Quake3 Arena
Timedemo 001 at various resolutions and with each of the four
anti-aliasing options in action. Maximum quality settings were
used.

You may notice a rather strange trend at the two
higher resolutions of 1280x1024. At both of these resolutions,
using 4xAA exceeded the storage available in the frame buffer
and it appears that the GPU reverts back to 2xAA. It's a known
fact that using 4xAA at 1600x1200-32bpp exceeds the buffer storage
limits but it appears that this also happened at 1280x1024.
Either way, it's not an issue specific to the Elsa 721, and
I'd sooner it dropped to 2xAA than kicked me back to the desktop
at a critical point in the game.
