Part Eight: Direct X Performance
We start with the tried and tested 3DMark 2000
in this section, an excellent benchmark from MadOnion.com
based upon DX7.
NB: Because of the driver versions used, I have omitted
the Ti4600's 3DMark scores as they served no purpose and only
confused the overall picture. This section will be updated when
I have had the opportunity to use the 28.32's with the aforementioned
card.

(Results Expressed In 3DMarks)

The Radeon was once the 3DMark leader but how
things have changed since the introduction of the Geforce 4
series. Clearly besting ATi's solution at all resolutions, the
Ti4200 showed again what great value it can offer the value
conscious gamer. Another superb result for this card, without
any doubt, no DX7 game will trouble this speedy offering! Can
it keep pace with the Radeon in the DX 8.1 based 3DMark 2001?
This is what we will investigate on page seven...
