3DMark
2001SE Build 330
In
the words of FutureMark.com, 3DMark®2001
SE (build 330) is the latest installment in
the popular 3DMark series. By combining DirectX®8.1
support with completely new graphics, it continues
to provide benchmark results that empower
you to make informed hardware assessments.
Love it or hate it there's no doubting its
value as a benchmarking tool, particularly
when used to make comparisons. This was run
at the default 1024x768 and shows the two
cards are pretty much neck and neck at this
stage.

3DMark03
Despite
the controversy 3DMark03 remains a potent
benchmark, particularly when used to for like
for like comparisons beween cards featuring
the same GPU as is the case here. Ultimately
however it once again demonstrates that the
differences are within the margin for error
and suggests that both cards are pretty much
identical in performance terms, something
I doubt anybody is especially suprised to
see.

VulpineGL~1280x1024
Still
a potent test of OpenGL capability despite
its relative age. This
benchmark now comes with a patch available
where "Extension Strings longer than
2048 Bytes are now allowed (required for NV30
compatibility). We decided not to use this
as we were running using standard OpenGL 1.2
anyway, and always have. We ran at a resolution
of 1280x1024.

Clearly
there's nothing to choose between the two
cards once again.
GL
Excess v1.2
GL
Excess (or GLXS as it's often referred to)
is not only a fine benchmark, it's also a
visual treat. v1.2 has been available for
a while now though we've only just decided
to implement it having had a good look at
the results across several platforms to make
sure it remained consistent.
I managed to delete the rsults from the Connect3D
run but they were as close as all the others.
