A
Closer Look:::...
The
iBall is a surprisingly stylish looking little device. I
say surprisingly because, and I don't mean this in a nasty
way, Asian and European design teams rarely see beauty in
quite the same way.
The
main surround of the iBall (so far as I could tell) is made
from machined aluminium with very light concentric circles
on the surface.
The
slightly domed clear screen cover looks like it's just waiting
to be scratched and perhaps raising the silver surround
would have reduced the risk slightly.
Five
silver coloured main control buttons dominate the front
face arranged in the lower third of the surround.

The
back features just the GeIL logo machined onto the surface.

The
Five Buttons are quite small but well spaced making them
simple to operate even with fat fingers like mine. There's
a definite "click" to their operation though they
are perhaps a touch stiff, something which may ease over
time.

On
the top of the device is a small but quite sturdy spring-eye
which is used to attach the small loop which used to take
the tension off the earphone plug. It could also be used
to attach an additional strap of keyring style holder.
