Features :::...
The
first thing I noticed after removing the side panel was
an intrusion detector on the rear. It isn't connected to
anything which is a bit of a shame. With a speaker integrated
into the eye's control it would have been nice if the switch
could have been plugged into it too and used to sound the
alarm.

Internally
this case looks solid if a little unspectacular. The most
obvious feature is the swinging/removable fan panel which
has room for two 92mm fans. My only concern here is that
if you cast you mind back to that rather restriced grill
on the side panel, I'd guess that it's bad enough to nullify
at least 80% of the potential airflow from two decent 92mm
fans. Having said that, the case does meet Intel's "Thermally
Advantaged Chassis " specs we're told so it can't be
too bad at breathing.

5.25"
drives are catered for with room for five of them instalelled
screwlessly using the supplied rails. There's room for two
further 3.5" drives (external or internal) and three
internal only 3.5" drives. Hard drives also mount screwlessly
using the supplied rails.
On
the side of the hard drive cage below you can probably see
the card steady which comes into play when full length expansion
cards are installed.

The
rear case fan uses a click-in cradle the makes changing
fans a breeze and also allows for unrestricted airflow as
there's no mounting cage for the air to have to pass though.

A
top mounted cooling fan, ow blowhole as sme like to call
it, can be one of the most efficient ways of ventilating
a case, but not with a grill like this one it won't be.
Forcing air though such small holes will likely be noisy
and inefficient and there's no reason something better couldn't
have been done here. A larger port could certainly have
been made in the external mouding which means internally
this could just have just been a single 80mm hole rather
than a group of small holes.
You
can also see here the cables that feed the external data
and audio connectors.
