SiSoft Sandra 2003

Although synthetic in nature SiSoft's Sandra offers a valuable insight towards overall performance levels. We're using the latest version of Sandra (2003.7.9.73) known as MAX3.

Memory Bandwidth Performance

Although the chart here has rather exaggerated the difference it should be noted that the two sets of results are pretty much within a margin for error. This is the kind of memory bandwidth we could have only dreamed about for the AMD platform prior to the advent of dual channel memory and AMD processors running off a 200 MHz front side bus.

Cache and Memory Subsystem Performance

Likewise the memory and cache subsystem results which scale nicely with previous CPUs. When combined with a suitably powerful processor the nForce2 Ultra chipset a very capable power gaming platform and it's good to see memory performance scale alongside the other important parameters.
