The Albatron's BIOS features the expected array
of options with one or two exceptions. Rather than cover the
more mundane settings here's a few screen captures that include
the settings most of you will likely be interested in.
AGP & P2P Bridge Control
Although the KX400+ Pro claims support for DDR400
I have to say that this is somewhat misleading. With a maximum
2.5X available from the "DDR:CPU" setting the highest
memory frequency available from a conventional 133MHz front
side bus is a mere 333MHz.
Frequency and Voltage Control
In order to get your memory to 400MHz it's necessary
to overclock the FSB to 160MHz.
Vcore is adjustable up to 1.850v -
CPU Voltage Settings
While memory voltage can be set up to a maximum
of 2.8v -
When it comes to memory settings there's a respectable
range of options but some of the more advances settings are
clearly missing. One of the more common settings that seems
to have been omitted is that of bank interleaving. With most
motherboards now boasting this setting it seems strange that
Albatron have decided not to make it available and in light
of the benefits we've seen from bank interleaving in the past
I was a little concerned about how the KX400+ Pro was going
to shine without it.
