Part one continued...
Once the box is opened, however, the
contents fall a bit short of impressive. Included
along with the board itself are (1) 80 pin IDE ribbon
cable, (1) Floppy drive ribbon cable, A backplate
for the center/sub audio channels, and a driver CD
and manual.

I was actually surprised to see a lack
of anything else. (*Notably missing from most standard
bundles is a USB backplate, leaving the two on the
board itself as the only available ports.) I had expected
a little more from the looks of the outside of the
box and XFX's reputation, as well as the decent bundles
with their graphics cards.
The manual is fairly consice, its pages
filled with all of the necessary information to ge
tup and running. It is written plain enough for a
novice, which is important.
The driver disk is standard fare containing
nothing more than VIA 4-in-1's and a few other basic
drivers for their other models.

Well, what they lack in goodies, they
may make up for in performance, now lets have a closer
look at the board shall we.
