"...if you are ready to embrace reality...
...choose the red pill."

System Specs:

I decided to move video card testing to my main rig so that there is no chance the card's performance will be affected by any system bottlenecks. Because of this there won't be any other cards to compare the Morpheus to but we'll be adding more tests in this rig soon.

Background:

The first video card I purchased separately for a system was the Voodoo3 3000 by 3dfx. As most if not all of you already know 3dfx has been acquired by nVidia after years of rivalry, but even before that happened I made a move to the GeForce2 after a friend spent days convincing me that it was much better than the Voodoo cards. So when I heard that a company who supposedly acquired 3dfx's employees was teaming up with Absolute and releasing a GeForce3 based card I instantly knew that it was a must-have.

Even though at the time it was just a rumor it has since been confirmed that 3DPower did in fact acquire about 40% of 3dfx's employees. The release of this Absolute/3DPower card was not as publicized in the United States as some other GeForce3 cards out in the market but the price/performance ratio of the Morpheus is sure to make it a well known card in the near future. But first we have to see how this expensive piece of Si holds up in our tests.
