DAE Test:::...
Digital Audio Extraction remains strong
though perhaps not particularly trail blazing. It's
certainly no slouch and this combined with its other
attributes is a minor shortfall, if you can class
it as a shortfall at all.

Track 1

Track 12
Obviously track 12 can be read and extracted
considerably faster than track 1 due to its location
on the outer edge of the disk. More importantly no
errors were recorded for either file.
Scratched Disk Test:::...
I have a beautifully scuffed and scratched
copy of Joint Strike Fighter that gets used for this
test and in this case I compared the read test from
the CR52 with an Optorite DD0203 DVD-RW and Plextor's
PX-W4824TA CD-RW.

MSICR52

Optorite DD0203

Plextor
PX-W4824TA
The Plextor identified more damaged
sectors than either of the other drives and it also
struggled to read more sectors than either of the
other two. With only 0.58% of the disk tagged unreadable
the MSI actually come top.
