External Features:::…

The MuVo comes in a clear plastic wrapped package that shows the buyer which model they are purchasing.  Another useful feature of the clear packaging is that it allows the buyer to view the features and playtimes of the various types of MuVo players.

This is a front and back view of the package.  This package was slightly damaged in transport.

These are the contents of the package.

The package includes the player itself, a battery to power the player, a case with belt clip and the earphones with dynamic bass response, which usually means the inclusion of a small chamber or port to enhance lower frequencies.

The contents vary in different regions of the world.  The above are the contents for the European package.  In the Asian package, the case with belt clip is replaced by a neck cord and the earphones are listed as simple earphones without dynamic bass response.

Also included in the package are a manual and the player software.

The player itself wasn’t damaged in transport as you can see, suggesting the packaging serves well to protect its contents as well as looking good.

The MuVo comes apart! There are 2 sections, the USB flash drive and the battery module. This eliminates the need for a USB cable.  You just plug in the USB flash drive directlu into your USB port and upload or download your files.

Creative has color coded the devices: light blue for the 128 MB model, dark blue for 256 MB model, silver for 512 MB model and black for 1 GB model.
Over here is where you put the battery in the battery module.

The battery is an AAA battery and it is used to power the USB flash drive. Depending on how you use it, the battery will supply power for approximately 15 hours which is very commendable. I've seen lower times quoted for devices with no LCD and backlight to power.

If you turn up the volume or do a lot of recording, operating time will decrease because these activities will draw more power off of the battery.

Here is how the unit looks in the supplied protective case with belt clip.

The case leaves the user plenty of room to easily unplug the USB flash drive, use it and pop it back in again.

There is a small gap on the other side of the case if you want to remove the MuVo from the case completely.

Although the earphones are not extravagant, they are stylish and functional.
