How easy is it to set-up?

I read through the quick guide and couldn't believe how simple it claimed to be. Although you know how it is, you read a guide and you always get caught somewhere! Not here though! The quick guide takes you through everything to get your security device up and running and you connected to the Internet! As it is the quick guide though, it doesn't take you through setting up all the specific applications and how to set-up your own servers, but these options are taken step by step in the manual. Nothing has been over looked here!

Connecting the Security Device:

Start off with the device turned on. To get your pc secured you have to disconnect your network cable going from your modem into your NIC and input this into the Modem port on the Pro400. Once you have done this and the green LED has come on, you then plug in the CAT5 cable (supplied with the Pro400) into one of the LAN Ports and plug the other end into the NIC you pulled your Modem out of. Again, make sure the green LED's have come on to tell you that your connection is ok. If not, its time to check your cables!!
Turn your PC on, and as soon as it loads into Windows go to Internet Explorer and type in 192.168.0.1. There is your configuration for your firewall!
This I have to say is one thing that impressed me! You don't have to install ANY software at all! Nothing is taking up your precious CPU cycles (I think the Overclockers understand me here!). Now some people may be lucky enough to have a connection already. If like me you had a "Disconnected" dialogue, check the help section and every possible answer is there! Check your MAC address config, do you have a PPPoE account etc.

What if I stumble into trouble?

As said above, the booklet with the Pro400 is simply amazing! Everything I could think of that could go wrong is in there, however there is always that one time when the booklet doesn't help at all. Nexland are at hand again! If you have gone through every possibility in the book/guide then give Nexland support a call and they will be happy to help you with your problem. Now this is how things should really be!

Can I work on the Network remotely when its firewall protected?
Yes you can! On the CD is a program called Symantec RaptorMobile. This allows a remote PC to safely send information across a public network (like the Internet) into a private network that is protected behind a firewall using a private tunnel, or Virtual Private Network (VPN). Unfortunately all my PC's are on the network so I am unable to show you how this product works.
