Does it really protect me though?

To show that the Pro400 does do what it says on the box, I checked my Internet connection with a couple of online scanners. Here's what they had to show:

Norton/Symantec

As you can see already Norton/Symantec's online testing has told us that it cannot find an IP for this computer! This is VERY good! So basically Norton/Symantec cant do anything more except to check whether my Virus Definitions are correct!!

Sheilds Up!!
The first scan from Sheilds Up is to scan your "shields". Lets see what Sheilds Up has to say:

Just what we wanted, nothing can be seen! Lets go a little further and get Sheilds Up to scan my ports for anything:

As you can see here a Port has been found closed. I use IRC so I had the IDENT port enabled…so lets see what happens when I disable the IDENT request in the settings:

There we have it! Nothing at all can be seen! Just a tick of a box stealthed everything again completely! (It even says in the options for IDENT "Note: Makes port 113 seem closed, not stealth")

This wasn't the end of the testing though. My friend Christine works with Networks, and its her job to find out security risks and holes in their systems. I asked her if she would test my IP and she kindly helped me out…. this is what she got:

As you can see here, nothing can be seen! No IP, no responses! According to Christine's software, there was nothing at that IP at all!
This has proven that the Pro400 is doing its job VERY well!
