Introduction :
If you haven't heard of Antec cases before there's
a strong possibility that the medication you're on is too strong!
Recognised throughout the industry as being some of the best
built and most user friendly enclosures available, Antec have
built a reputation amongst enthusiasts and case modders that
others can only hope for. Their performance range was a big
favourite of mine with three of them in action over here yet
despite the undoubted quality the range had started to look
a little dated and Antec decided it was time for a an overhaul,
question is how do you improve on something that already enjoyed
incredible success? The answer was to not meddle with the things
that worked well and only concentrate on the things that could
be done better. That's the philosophy that gave rise to Antec's
new Performance PLUS range of cases, and I'll be taking a look
at the baby of the group, the PLUS660AMG mini tower.

What started as a bit of fun when one of their
sales reps stood on an Antec case to demonstrate its strength
to a potential customer is now a whole design ethos for the
company and while I'm the first to admit you're unlikely to
find tacky colour schemes, sliding stealth panels geared to
operate succesfully for a full three weeks or eye catching trim
that drops off if you walk by too close what you are sure to
find is what we've always found, a solid, well designed case
that'll last considerably longer than any of the components
inside it.
