3DVelocity wish to thank Liz at Crucial
in the UK and Rae at Pathway
PR for providing these cards for review.

Part Two : Crucial's Radeon
9700 Pro.
What do Crucial know about making
graphics cards? The question should be does it really
matter? They are offering a basic reference version
with a minimal bundle in exchange for the lowest priced
Radeon 9700 Pro on the market. Let's take a look.

The very reference design, it would have been
nice to see a different colour board to match Crucial's
corporate colours but it's things like that which
bump up the end user's expenditure.

The back is also identical
to ATi's design of course with the exception of
the Crucial stickers.
There is both nothing
which can be classed as impressive or a poor choice
on Crucial's card. It is so reference based they even
use Samsung's ram, a strange thing for a memory company
to do so it must be genuinely cheaper to keep the
card totally standard. The build quality was excellent
as is the usual ATi trend, it is not a flashy card
in the slightest but then again, the Radeon is about
pure performance rather than 'physical prettiness'.
