Lazer
Leds :::...
Lazer
LEDs may be just a variation on a theme but their great
advantage is that they're incredibly compact yet light a
large area if placed correctly.

Again,
power is supplied using a regular 4-pin Molex meaning nobody
should have a problem finding a feed close by to power it.

The
shine, chrome effect plastic housing has two holes for screw
mounting, and to their credit Sunbeam even include the screws,
along with a Velcro pad for a less permanent approach.
The
LEDs are arranged with the central one facing forward and
the ones either side firing out at an angle. The Chrome-like
surface finish works as a crude reflector to optimise light
output.Plus it looks good.

The
lights are bright and can be made to look very effective
if you place them away from obstructions.

Being
more directional than most case lighting options you do
need to give a little more thought to where you position
them. Holding them in place with some Blu-Tack until you're
happy is definitely a good idea, particularly if you're
fitting more than one. That way you can see how the beams
interact.

My sole complainant about these is that although they can
be effective when angled, there no real way to do that with
them. A hinged base would add greatly to the versatility
and make for more varied lighting effects.
