Introduction :
Those of you who have
ever browsed one of the many case mod galleries on the web
are sure to have heard of Antec. The SX1030 and SX830 range
of performance cases have gathered quite a following amongst
both the modding and the overclocking community. Antec also
has a hard earned reputation for top quality power supplies,
one of which is supplied with the SX-830, and they now market
a whole range of products under the Antec banner, as you can
see from browsing their website.
Despite the temptation, I am not going to compare this case
to the Uneec 701-V
we recently reviewed, even though there more than one or two
similarities between them. The reason I want to avoid too
many comparisons is that these cases are (in my view) targeted
at very different markets. It does pose a dilemna however
in that receiving two potentially top quality cases to review
consecutively tends to make you look like a reviewer who praises
the product simply to keep the manufacturers happy, and believe
me that's not how it is. When I set out on a review, it's
not on behalf of the manufacturer, it's on behalf of the user,
and I go all out to look for faults and flaws. So with all
that out of the way, let's look at the product in hand, the
Antec SX830 performance series case.
