These days the demand for larger storage mediums is bigger then ever. You can choose from many different forms of storage, each having its own advantage or disadvantage.

In this review I have chosen to opt for optical storage, DVD+ media to be more precise.

Ritek Corporation in Taiwan is a major manufacturer of optical storage media and was founded in 1988. They supply large OEM companies like Philips, TDK, FUIJ and Traxdata.

In 2001 Traxdata was taken over by Ritek and they now use that name to sell their own optical storage products.

Conrexx Europe was founded in that same year as a European headquarters and place of business for Ritek, and I think it's fair to say that Traxdata has undergone a real metamorphosis since the take over by Ritek.

Under the new devision's marketing strategy, every new optical storage technology breakthrough will first be marketed under the Traxdata name. Thus Traxdata was the first to market the 8x media (+ and – media), and also the first to market both the 16x DVD+R media and the DVD+R DL media.

Also the color schemes of the packages have undergone some changes.

Conrexx Europe was so kind to provide us with DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD+R DL media.
