Introduction:::...

There's not much to look at on the rear of the side panel but below you can see the slightly primitive but perfectly functional mechanism on the rear of the quick-release handle.

Acres of lightwieght aluminium go to make up the spacious interior. The most obvious first observation is that the internal 3.5" drive cage is rotated 90 degrees so the rear of your hard drives face outwards. This is increasingly common these days and makes it easier to add or remove hard drives without knocking capacitors off your motherboard or having to remove all your expansion cards.

Much like the floppy drive cage, the internal 3.5" cages can be slid out by pressing in the two sprung latches.

To isolate noise, the drives mount using supplied screws through rubber isolating bushes.Steel plates on the opposite side make sure the drive body remains grounded as normal.

This is the same, blue LED fan as used in the Tsunami. It comes with an RPM monitor wire which can be fed to a multifunction display or a motherboard header.

The fan generates quite a lot of light, certainly enough to gently illuminate the inside of your case without the need to buy additional lighting provided you don't like your case lighting too stark.

Two thumbscrews on the inside are giveaway to another feature that was absent from the Tsunami, though not one that I personally missed, a removable motherboard tray.

It even looks like a tray two with a handle either side. That seems like a kind of minor point put it means you tend to use the handles rather than grip the whole motherboard and tray assembly to carry it and possibly do some damage in the process
