A Closer Look:::...
The back of the tablet gains you access to the rechargeable battery compartment behind which resides a fairly beefy 1800mA Lithium Polymer battery, hence its relatively thin, flat shape.

I didn't verify it but WACOM claim you should get around 25 hours cordless use from a fully charged battery, though you should remember that Lithium Polymer batteries tend to degrade a touch quicker than their regular Lithium ion counterparts, and you may find they're running at around 80% capacity in as few as 500 recharges.

The batteries sell for around $40 on WACOM's US site.
This aside all you'll find on the belly are four rubber feet which do a good job of keeping the tablet put, and a recessed button to initiate the Bluetooth pairing procedure.
There's a pen stowage slot in the rear of the tablet for use during transportation, as for the desk stand, well, you'll have to slip that in your pocket.

Positioned on the top edge are two programmable multifunction buttons, or ExpressKeys as WACOM calls them, that can be set to do a variety of tasks from within the configuration software.

Also on the top edge is the DC in jack for uses tethered to a mains power socket, which also recharges the battery. The key to this tablet is that you can unplug the power and take the tablet with you when you go, or, you can sit back in your chair with the tablet propped up in your lap and use it comfortably and naturally without worrying about pulling the cable out of the wall socket.

A really great function of this tablet is the removable screen overlay. This lets you either personalise your tablet with the photo of a loved one or your favourite team, but more importantly, it allows you to slip in a photo or drawing or plan, or indeed anything you like in order to trace it out on your screen.

The active area is equal to a sheet of A5 paper so your slightly limited in what you can place below the cover, but it's a really neat idea and a great way to improve your artistic talents too.
The centre of the overlay has a slightly rough, matt surface that not only marks out the active area, it also creates a slight resistance on the pen nib to more accurately create the feel of pen on paper. I personally found the resistance to be a little too low for my tastes, preferring the feel of the Volito (review coming shortly).

The power button is illuminated in blue. Pressing the connect button on the underside of the tablet makes it discoverable and causes the power light to blink rapidly for three minutes after which it will shut off if it hasn't established a pairing.

An orange LED signals that mains power is being used and that the battery is charging. This glows green once the battery is fully charged.
